From TC Palm.com

The South Indian River Lagoon Feasibility Study, part of the $7.8 billion statewide Everglades restoration project, was released in late October for public comment. After 60 days the Army Corps of Engineers will incorporate the comments received into the final copy and submit the study to Congress for authorization under the Water Resources and Development Act of 2002. The study includes nearly $1 billion for construction, land acquisition and habitat restoration in Martin and St. Lucie Counties, including new reservoirs, wetlands based water treatment areas and muck removal.
