The Ft. Pierce Port Master Plan

Patty Tobin from St. Lucie County gave a presentation on the progress of the Ft. Pierce Port Master Plan. The county worked with Florida Atlantic University holding 3 public meetings in October to November to get public opinion into the Port’s future plans. The latest draft has shifted its focus away from cargo and towards the MegaYacht industry. The decision has also been made to keep the port at its current depth of 28 feet instead of deepening and widening the Port area. Both the Ft. Pierce City Commission and the St. Lucie County Commission agreed unanimously to make this plan work.
