Indian River County

Mangrove Collecting Time!

This summer, the MRC Volunteers in Indian River County were able to treat 452,800 square feet of Brazilian Pepper trees along 955 feet of the St. Sebastian River Shoreline. On the right, young volunteers from the Youth Volunteer Corps help remove Brazilian pepper trees from an area near Dale Wimbrow Park, along the St. Sebastian River. A special thanks to volunteers Holly Dill and Tom Smith for their help and of course to Tim Glover, last year’s Pepperbuster of the Year and always a priceless asset to the River and Lagoon.
