Juno Beach Whale Sighting in January

David Logan was diving with a friend off Juno Beach (south of Jupiter) on January 27 when they spotted what they thought was a right whale playing with their boat. When David reported the sighting to MRC's hotline, he described what definitely sounded like a right whale. He provided a latitude and longitude of the sighting and also noticed that a BOATPIX.com helicopter was in the area taking photographs of boats. MRC has just learned they took pictures of the whale and we are in the process of obtaining copies. Even if the individual is not recognized, we will confirm what could be the southernmost right whale sighting of the entire season! Thanks for the great observations, David!
