IN MEMORIAM - Thomas Hinds 1961-2003
Tom, originally
from Alexandria,
Virginia, logged over
1,000 hours of flight
time as a pilot
working for various
government and
nonprofit agencies.
Most recently he was
employed by
Environmental
Aviation Services, where he conducted right whale and
manatee surveys. Tom was also a former stock broker
and member of the National Guard. He was an
instructor at two Fernandina Beach flying schools and
a member of the Civil Air Patrol Fernandina Beach
Squadron. Tom's love of life and love for flying were
immediately apparent in his confident, enthusiastic
manner. He lived in Fernandina Beach with his wife
and their family of pets. Donations in Tom's name can
be made to the First Coast Humane Society.
